    I by no means bother with ebooks, all the best information is available for free out here on the web and forums. ebooks are sometimes (not always), made by a name just trying to get rich, whereas a excellent forum is made up of real peoples knowledge and experience.
    Plus, search engines are changing all the time so no ebook is going to stay current, I reckon your best bet is to join one of the well loved seo forums and gather from all the users. That way you can stay up to date.
    Also, you have to be patient, as the search engines take time in ranking sites.
