Increase Your Traffic

There are numerous creative ways to increase traffic to your website.

Back to Basics: the Five Pillars of Increasing Website Traffic

Written by site-traffic on Jun 15th, 2009 | Filed under: traffic building

Here’s a simple thought in the world of online marketing that everyone agrees with: more people seeing your website = more potential customers = more business. But beyond this basic point, agreement amongst internet know-hows tends to go out the window. Everyone has an opinion on the best way to increase website traffic – and surprisingly, not many of them agree.

Here are probably many reasons for this lack of agreement. But here are certainly two huge ones. The first reason most online advice-givers don’t agree on how to increase web site traffic is that here’s not one flat way to go in this area it. Website traffic can be increased in a handful of different ways.

The second reason, as you’ve probably noticed, is that most people giving advice have something they’d like to sell you. They want to sell you a solution and their advice wants to be related to what they’re selling.

Whether or not these sales people have your best interest in mind is open to question. But what’s not open to question, is the fact that here ARE many different ways to increase website traffic.

And of these many ways, here are 5 that have a history of life very reliable and effective. Not only do these 5 methods have a high routine record, but at least one of these five is essential for anyone that wants to have a regular flow of new customers to their web site. And the excellent news is, 4 of these 5 methods can be done with small or no money.

If you’re serious in this area bringing more traffic to your website – and tired of wading through online advice – take some time to consider these 5 time-tested ways before you invest another minute:

1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – This is probably the most recommended way to increase web site traffic. And for excellent reason: it works. Having your website atop search engines like Google and Yahoo! is a sure fire way to bring people to your site. Where this method often gets perplexing is in the number of different ways that people suggest doing it. Some tell you to use your keywords often in the text of your web page. Some tell you to place your keyword phrase in the alternate text of your images. Others tell you that the key to a high search-engine ranking is to have other related sites link to your site. And all of this advice is right. Here are other steps to take as well, but the problem is, not many sites give you all of the needed steps in an methodical way. I’ve included a link not more than with a detailed explanation of all of these steps.

2. Newsletters – A newsletter is nothing more than a series of pre-written e-mails that are sent to people who request them from a form on your web site. Here are a few tools, like auto responders, that help make this task simple and efficient. Newsletters are a very powerful because they give you an opportunity to build credibility and make repeat customers out of the customers you already have.

3. Article Directories – Article directories are websites that take submitted articles and pile them in a data base so online magazines and newsletters can use them for publication. The exchange that takes place is this: you write an article and allow any website to publish your article. In return, they are obliged to leave your name and e-mail address in the byline of the article. When your article is published online, a link to your site is also published, and potential customers who read your article are likely to come see your website. If your article is published in multiple online sources, a link to your site is also published in multiple online sources. A well written article can be picked up over and over again. In the end, you’ll have a regular source of new customers without spending anything more time than it takes to write the article.

4. Pay-Per-Click Advertising (PPC) – PPC advertising, like search engine optimization, is also a very talked-in this area way of bringing traffic to a site. The thought here is that search engines advertise your business web site and you pay a particular fee each time a name clicks on your link and comes to your site. All of the major search engines like Google, Yahoo!, and MSN have PPC advertising programs. Depending on the market you’re selling to, PPC can be a very profitable way to bring interested customers to your site. On the down side, it’s the only one of these five ways that is sure to take some kind of money investment.

5. Improving Your Website – This sounds very basic but it’s often overlooked. It doesn’t do a lot of excellent to bring potential customers to your website if your site is not ready to serve them. Any profitable website wants to be attractive, simple-to-use, and professional. Making sure your site has all three of these traits will go a long way towards making the most of the people that do see your site.

By taking some time to consider the 5 methods above, you’ll not only be familiar with the 5 most proven ways to increase traffic. But you’ll also have a way to measure and organize the other traffic-increasing advice you find online.

In the end, making an informed effort to increase website traffic is by no means a terrible thought. It can lead to better business exposure. It can lead to a huge increase in customers. And it will certainly lead you to more profitable and productive online business.

Increase Web Traffic With SEO

Written by site-traffic on Jun 15th, 2009 | Filed under: increase web traffic

In the last several years Google has become a widely-recognized strain, even recently ranked as the top-known strain name in the world. Anyone who is hosting a website, advertising online, or doing business should know how to utilize Google services well. In small, over half of all Internet searches use Google.
Google’s services can help searchers find your business in several different ways. Your site, like all the other public sites on the Web, is scanned often by involuntary ‘spider’ applications which make an examination for the links and content of each web page. Google’s index contains over ten billion pages; the company updates its indexes on a regular basis, a task that requires the use of nearly half a million servers.
When users submit search terms at the site, Google will present a list of selected and ordered matches. The order in which they are presented is determined by several different factors. The factors of this search include the relevancy of the content on the page to the search terms, along with what Google calls the ‘PageRank’ of that particular page. Other factors probably play in as well, but these algorithms are secret.
PageRank is expressed as a number which is calculated during the process of indexing (0-10). Each web page that the spider examines will be assigned a PageRank number. Starting at zero, the number grows as the page receives links from other sites, either from the same host for from other externally-based sites. The Google policy here is that pages receive rank not from the amount of accesses they serve, but by the correlated relevancy of content and the amount of links that refer them. Google’s description: “Google interprets a link from page A to B as a vote, by page A, for page B. Votes cast by pages that are themselves vital weigh more solidly and help to make other pages vital.” So, increased site traffic won’t improve your PageRank, but a better PageRank will probably result in increased traffic to your site.
Where Does Your Site Sit in Google’s World?
To find out your site’s PageRank, use Google’s Toolbar in your Web browser. If you don’t have it pre-installed, just search for it.
How Does a Site Increase Visitor Traffic?
Here’s an entire new field to address this question: search engine optimizers. These SEO companies are fantastic for expert advice. Here are also some things you can do to increase the amount of not paid traffic at your web site.
1) Website Redesign – Make your site focus more on the issues that people search on more frequently.
2) Place Articles – These articles can feature incoming links to your web site.
3) Localize – By adding sections by geographic location, your content can feature info related to a particular place, including convergence events. Google gives act of kindness to a search that includes a city name in it.
By implementing these simple suggestions, you could see your not paid web traffic triple in small time.

Fascinating pun baby clothes information.

Free Traffic Methods for Internet Marketing

Written by site-traffic on Jun 15th, 2009 | Filed under: traffic building

I am  certain that the majority of the people that have a domain are looking into routes to help them to draw in more people to read their site. Here are some differing perspectives on the sole way to go in this area doing this but one thing that the public agree on is that it’s vital to build up the number of backward links that point to your site. The difficulty is how will we get these links?  It is always best to try to get other sites from the same diligence as your own to add a link to your internet site on their site ( on the homepage if at all probable ). I have, in the past, spent hours phoning and e-mailing the webmasters from different sites which are in an equivalent field to my personal site. Even if only one person agreed to my request after phoning up thirty those, I was chuffed. Hopefully this link will be permanent and over time could prove deeply valuable to me. People  who visit this people site are now potential visitors to my private site as they may see my link and naturally hopefully will click on it. Sometimes the more links I am in a position to get the better, and in time I may well see a rise in my web sites page rank.

This in turn should go me up some places in the search engines for my keywords, which naturally should then result in more traffic. This is the value of any backward link.

If the page where my link has been added is a high traffic page or has a high page rank worth then  I am  even more fortunate. As an example the link would be of far larger price to my site if it was placed on a page with a page rank five rather than a page with a page rank two. How many backward links should I be making an attempt to obtain?  In my humble opinion you want to use caution not to build up the amount of these backward links too quick.

It should be a continual project across the life of the site. If as an example you are able to get ten each week for five years, this would be brilliant. This will quite simply raise a red flag with the search engines. Here is no undemanding solution, hard work pays off and we want to have patience. I look to the long run and believe in time the work I place in today will be of fantastic benefit to me tomorrow.

Alternative routes of getting links is by : making articles purchasing a text link ad Out of these two options I like the making articles selection. As I have stated but, tough work pays off and this is a undemanding way of gaining one-way backward links. Approximately  I most likely write seven articles per week promoting different internet sites. why do most people fail online

What is it like on the inside of Google Conquest?  Are all the glowing reviews just hype to make you buy the Conquest Authority system?  You do not need hype and propaganda. You want a real, straight up, truthful review. If you’d like to grasp the truth in this area Alex Goad’s Google Conquest Authority membership and if it is for you, then keep reading.

Does the system work?  Yes it does but it does not work for everybody that is a fact. It worked for me and it can work for you too. As you will learn, what you place in does not copy what you get out. If you place in small of no effort you will most likely make nothing. If you a conscientious and consistent follow along the undemanding step by step instruction, you can not help but succeed.

With all of the commercial doom and gloom surrounding us it could be a suprise to you to gather the online economy is still booming. And whilst the Net is a virtual background the cash earned here’s very discernible, really real. My return has been going up, month by month and last month was my first 15+K month. Here’s no way I might have made that sort of cash had I not tied Google Conquest.

Conquest Authority Insider Report

Studying the course materials was a consistent rewiring of my brain. Everything I plotting I knew was inside out and upside down. But once you’ve rapped your head around these new concepts you’ll realize that here is nearly no limit to what you can make online, you are only limited by how far you can reckon outside of the box.

I’ll be writing much more on what you’ll find within Google Conquest of the coming days and taking you inside for a sneak peak behind the scenes. Stay tuned.

Increase Serps With Directories

Written by site-traffic on Jun 15th, 2009 | Filed under: traffic building

One thing will all want as website owners is to have our websites ranked highly, if at all possible the number one spot for our top keyterms. Link building is an vital factor when promoting your keyterms to get number one rankings, without excellent quality inbound links your seo efforts will be of no use.

A few years back all it took was excellent on-site optimization and a couple of links from any website and you could get high search engine positions. As more website owners gather in this area seo its becoming slightly harder to get the number one spot and requires abit more time. As-long as your on-site optimization is pretty excellent you can start to build strong excellent quality inbound links, now a days you should only try to go for excellent quality links so you can stay a head of your competitors.

Here are many excellent places to go to get strong links from, one of my favorites is the shared bookmarking sites as they can produce excellent targeted traffic and a excellent article can gain many backlinks from one submission. Whenever I write an article I submit it to all the shared bookmarking sites as well as various other places. If your not trying to get excellent rankings from articles and are trying to promote your main webpages then directory submissions is a very useful method.

One of the main reasons why directories are excellent for seo purposes is here are so many excellent quality ones out here that you shouldn’t have distress finding a nice selection with least amount of hassle. Here’s probably more directories that any other website so you will come across quite a few poor quality directories but because here are so many of them you should find allot of excellent quality ones to post on as well.

The second main reason for using directories is the flexibility and ease of submitting a website for inclusion, its only takes 2-3 minutes max and that submission could be approved within a matter of days. Because here are so many directories you will be able to promote as many keywords as you like but remember, keep changing your websites description each so often so you links wont be linked or placed near duplicate content. Here are many directory submission companies out here claiming to be the best and use the most advanced seo methods but until you have tried directorysubmissions.eu you haven’t given your site a chance. Directorysubmissions.eu have trained a team of professionals to carry out high quality seo directory submissions and they have also hand picked and researched each directory they use to carry out here orders. If you haven’t got anything to do right now I suggest taking a few mines and go check them out.

Written by site-traffic on Jun 14th, 2009 | Filed under: traffic building

Day after day marketing on the Internet is getting harder and harder. Search Engine Optimization is a huge business piece on the Internet. It is a cooperative effort between merchants and any website. For many years now, Search Engine Optimization has proved to be a cost-efficient, measurable method of delivering long-term results. Each day, people get interested in Search Engine Optimization and want to make money out of it.

You must be set to spend years developing a list, making contacts, testing various advertising methods, establishing a network of Sales representatives and/or distributors, and doing all the others jobs that go intobuilding a company (even longer to build a reputation). If you can make it through the first few years, you’ll be well on your way to success.

2. Make a site with valuable content, products or services. Having a well designed and relevant web copy is crucial. This will help search engines easily index your web pages and rank them high.

4. Research and use the right keywords/phrases to attract your target customers.

5. Use your keywords in the right fields and references within your web page. Like Title, META tags, Headers, etc.

6. Place primary and secondary keywords within the first 25 words in your page content and spread them evenly throughout the document.

7. Include valuable content and free stuff on your website.

8. Making fake domains and letting those domains point to your site is a trick plotting to be effective for improving page ranking at Google. But Google claims that this is not right and they are able to spot duplicate domains and domain scams.

10. Exhibit your diligence and manufactured goods or service expertise by writing and submitting articles for your website or for article banks so you are perceived as an expert in your field.

11. Build a excellent links and resources page on your website. Linking strategy is not a trick as many get rich instant merchants would have you believe. Treat linking as one vital aspect of your Search Engine Optimization strategy. Links for the sake of links have no value whatsoever. Indeed, they can hurt your rankings. So forget in this area link farms and other such nonsense.

12. Watch your competitors and the top ranked websites to see what they are doing right in the way of design, navigation, content, keywords, etc.

13. Make your customer visit simple and give them plenty of ways to remember you in the form of newsletters, free reports, reduction coupons etc.

14. When selling products online, use simple payment and shipment methods to make your customer’s experience quick and simple.

15. Use reports and logs from your web hosting company to see where your traffic is coming from. Analyze your visitor location and their incoming sources whether search engines or links from other sites and the keywords they used to find you.

16. Keep track of changes in search engine algorithms and processes and accordingly modify your web pages so your search engine ranking remains high. Use online tools and utilities to keep track of how your website is doing.

17. Submit your web pages i.e. each web page and not just the home page, to the most well loved search engines and directory services. Hire a name to do so, if required. Be sure this is a manual submission. Do not engage an automated submission service.

18. When not sure, hire professionals. Though it may seem costly, but it is a lot less expensive than spending your money on a website which no one visits.

19. Keep track of changes in search engine algorithms and processes and accordingly modify your web pages so your search engine ranking remains high. Use online tools and utilities to keep track of how your website is doing.

20. Improving your website’s link popularity is absolutely vital for improving the visibility of your website with watch to Search Engines. Your “link popularity” is simply a count of the number of web pages that are linked to you. You may want to know your link popularity for two reasons. The first is that your link popularity will improve your ranking on all crawler search engines. As discussed earlier, all crawler-based search engines have a component called the spider, which crawls from one webpage to another through links. Hence, more the websites linking to your website, the better are your chances of getting listed through a search engine. The second reason is that you might want to know which websites are linked to you and potentially referring traffic.

This combination of techniques is greater as a total than the sum of the parts. While you can skip any small technique that is a part of the overall strategy, it will subtract from the edge you’d gain by employing all the tactics Choose the terms that you wish to include as the most productive search terms for your site, terms that you associate with the right target visitors to your site. Place those in the search engines and find what pages rank near the top for them. These top-ranking sites/pages would be on the top of your list, if you needed to plant links to your site on other pages.

Once you have found the top ranked pages/sites for your chosen search term(s), you should check what sites or pages link to that site. If you get links from any of these sites to your target pages, you may be able to dramatically improve your ranking on Google and other crawler based Search Engines.

Concentrate of giving the search engines what they really want – fantastic content, well-methodical, well-published and linked to other relevant material. Concentrate on that and you will be rewarded.
